Salomé, Tragedy of the Femme Fatale
A Performance
The Story
Salomé, Tragedy of the Femme Fatale is about a woman who sacrifices herself in the hopes of becoming a better person, yet tragically succumbs to her demons. Taking a cue from Oscar Wilde’s play, this one-woman piece explores the complex untold and ruinous motivations of the tantalizing dancer who requested the head of John the Baptist. A feminine enigma whose sexuality and cold brutality history has exploited. Come meet the original vamp on her quest for the ultimate triumph.
Salomé premiered at the United Solo Spring Festival in March 2024, followed by a series of performances at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in August 2024.
